The stories about the numbers are slightly different. The maximum cost for a three-year renewal is $71 million or $70 million, depending on which Twitter account you’re viewing.

He was expected to earn $3.04 million in 2022. It will earn up to $74.04 million, or up to $75.04 million over the next four years, barring another new deal.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that McLaurin is receiving a $28 million signing bonus and a fully guaranteed $34.6 million upon signing. Another $12.5 million will become fully guaranteed in March 2023.

The deal includes $250,000 worth of escalators for 2023, 2024 and 2025 to get to the previous year’s Pro Bowl, Rapoport said.

McLaurin skipped the mandatory mini-camp while waiting for his deal. Coach Ron Rivera said he would not be traded.

MacLaurin deal terminated DK Metcalfe, Deebo Samuel, and the Hollywood Brown as the last three sophomore recipients without new contracts. Brown’s contract runs until 2023; the rest are signed until 2022.
