The Longhorns are on the recruiting track right now.
After touching down five-star quarterback Ark Manning, Texas immediately became a favorite for many of the nation’s top players in the class of 2023.
Amidst all the craziness surrounding the set of predictions made for the Longhorns, Texas has also been featured on several different top school lists. Last appearance as Zalans Hurd’s four-star offensive gear.
On Saturday, Hurd announced the top eight schools remaining in his enrollment. Texas made the list along with Nebraska, LSU, Florida State, Louisiana Tech, Oklahoma State, Houston and Auburn.
The Louisiana native is ranked 9th in hitters nationwide in the 2023 recruiting class and 6th overall in the state, according to 247Sports.
Up to this point, Nebraska had been the only school Heard had made an official visit to.
