The excitement ahead of the 2022 football season in Texas is extremely high. Fans are jumping into action to assemble Darrell K Royal Memorial Stadium and support the team.
The University of Texas announced on Friday that season ticket sales for the coming year surpassed an all-time record. This mark was previously set in 2019 at just over 63,000 seats.
Fans will have seven rare home games in 2022, including a major non-conference game against Alabama Crimson Tide.
Texas will also host Louisiana Monroe and UTSA, as well as Big 12 conference opponents from West Virginia, Iowa State, TCU and Baylor.
