Texas Tech Has 247Sports Recruiting Grade 17 And New Commitment Jordan Sanford is one of the gems. Arlington, Texas four-star Mansfield Timberview announced his commitment to the Red Raiders on Thursday night, choosing to play for Joey McGuire and its employees at companies such as TCU, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, SMU and Washington among others.

Sanford’s decision was made over the wire, but he stuck with the program giving him priority the longest.

“It was a lot of factors, but the most important one was the relationship I would have after football is over,” Sanford said of his commitment. James Blanchard and McGuire spearheaded this recruitment. “And one thing that I’m very excited about is the relationship that I’m going to continue to build with the coaches, the members of my class and, of course, the players that are already on the team.”

At 5’11” and 185 pounds, Sanford is ranked 24th at Texas Tech in the class of 2023. All but three are from the Lone Star State.

Sanford has a 10.55 speed in the 100m dash and used his wheels to break seven passes and make two more as a junior. In addition to his finalists, other proposals came in from Arkansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Louisville, Nebraska, Utah, and Vanderbilt.
