Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb standout Gabriel Fortson has quickly become one of the Peach State’s most sought-after offensive lineman.
Georgia Tech extended a scholarship on May 2, Ole Miss quickly followed, Duke jumped in two days later and Mississippi State, Memphis, UCF, Appalachian State, Missouri and most recently North Carolina are several others that have extended a full-ride over the last week.
With that, the 6-foot-4, 300-pound Fortson has begun to plan visits beginning this weekend with Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Regarding the Bulldogs: “It just seems like they got a great environment there to be honest.”
Regarding the Rebels: “I just want to see what they’re about. They got a great program over there going.”
UCF will get a trip on June 4.
“It’s like a family atmosphere and great area,” Fortson said.
Georgia Tech is scheduled for June 9.
“They’re super great academically and I want to know more about it,” he said.
East Carolina is slated for June 18 and he’s excited that Duke offered as well.
“Duke is great academically as well and I want to see how much they are willing to invest in their football program!” He said.
Programs are certainly starting to invest in Fortson.
