The 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward from Bloomington, Ind., chose Commodores over offers from Ball condition, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and several other programs. He says the staff resume played a huge role in his decision.

“Coach Stackhouse has been in the NBA for 18 years, Coach Curry for 15 years, and Coach Mazarey has been coaxing the NBA,” Roberts said. “I felt that their experience would give me a good opportunity to grow and develop.”

With Roberts locked up, Vanderbilt is now 43rd in the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings. He joins the three-star combination defender Isaiah West.

When asked what he plans to bring to the program, Roberts replied, “I will diversify. I am a dedicated player who likes to do multiple things and defend multiple positions. I feel like I can influence the program and try to help win.”
