“From the moment I was first offered and I stepped onto campus, I felt right at home,” Brown said. “Everyone on their team is sincere. They treat me like family. Coach Mark Fox is a great player development coach and that was an important part of my decision.”

A 6ft 5in long-range shooter from Temecula, Calif. Ranch Christian, Brown chose the Golden Bears over offers from Pepperdine, Tennessee, UC Santa Barbara, USCas well as Washington state. Apart from its suitability on the court, the university’s academic prestige also played a major role in his decision.

“I know the ball stops bouncing,” Brown said. “So, I just wanted to be where I could get a great education.”

Brown is the first California allegiance in his 2023 class. When asked what he plans to bring to the program, he replied, “I come to work hard and make an effort. Bears fans should expect someone who is capable of doing these things and making shots.”

With three stars, Brown is the 30th shooting guard in the 247Sports positional rankings.
