Denver @ Oklahoma City

Current records: Denver 10-7; Oklahoma City 7-10

What you need to know

The Oklahoma City Thunder needs to bolster their defenses to 117.53 points per game ahead of Wednesday’s game. The Thunder and the Denver Nuggets will face off in a Northwest Division Battle at 8:00 pm ET at the Paycom Center. Oklahoma City is on the wrong side of a one-sided rivalry with Denver and is looking to pick up its first win since March 2.

Looks like OKC got the smaller half of a bone at Thanksgiving dinner. On Monday, they lost to the New York Knicks 129–119. Despite the loss, OKC had good performances from small forward Lugenz Dort who had 24 points along with eight boards and shooting guard Shai Giljeus-Alexander who had 30 points and seven assists in addition to five rebounds. Dort had some issues with the Memphis Grizzlies last week, so it was a step in the right direction.

As for Denver, it looks like they got the smaller half bone at their Thanksgiving dinner. They lost only to the Detroit Pistons, 110-108. What made the loss a particularly bitter pill for Denver was that they won by 12 points early in the competition. The silver lining for them was center Nikola Jokic, who narrowly missed a triple-double with 31 points, ten assists and nine boards.

Since both teams have had disappointing results in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to get a better result in this one. Let’s see which team satisfies hunger, and which leaves with an empty stomach.
