Tiger Woods’ eventful fall will continue at the PNC Championship next month, where he will once again team with his son Charlie in a 36-hole tournament.
On Friday, Woods announced that he and Charlie would take part in the December 17-18 event at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Golf Club. Woods’ team finished second, two strokes behind John Daly and his son at last year’s PNC Championship.
The event will be the third unofficial event of the fall for Woods, who also plans to play next week’s Hero World Challenge, which he organizes, and The Match on December 10, when he will team up with Rory McIlroy in a 12-hole matchup against Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.
Woods has only played three tournaments in 2022 as he continues to recover from injuries sustained in a 2021 car crash. He drew 47th at the Masters, withdrew after three rounds at the PGA Championship and missed out on The Open.
Despite his limited schedule, Woods won the PGA Tour’s Player Impact Program for the second year in a row and, along with McIlroy, led the players’ initiative to take on LIV Golf and make the circuit more stellar.
