Trailon Burks’ rookie season has yet to begin in earnest after the young wide receiver suffered a toe injury during Game 4 of the Titans. Without Burks, the Titans offense struggled to create many offenses without Derrick Henry, who currently leads the NFL in rushing.

Titans fans got some good news on Saturday as Burks was activated from injured reserve and will play Sunday’s game against the Broncos. Sunday will be Burks’ first game since catching two of his three goals in the Titans’ Week 4 victory over the Colts.

Burks has caught 10 of 16 targets in 129 yards this season. He also took 21 shots of the Titans’ special forces units.

Berks, drafted 18th overall in the April Draft, had a successful run in Aransas, where he caught 18 touchdowns in his last two years with the Sharp Spins. Last season, he caught 66 passes for 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 16.7 yards per catch.

Tennessee (5-3) is currently in first place in the AFC East Division, despite his offense being just 24th in NFL scoring in nine weeks. Injuries have plagued the Titans as five players have already been ruled out of Sunday’s game. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is in question after an ankle injury kept him out of last Sunday night’s overtime loss to the Chiefs.
