“The coaches know what they are doing,” Bowens continued. “Coach Lanning knows what he’s doing. That’s why this school is on the rise. Coach Lanning knows exactly what he’s doing, and he’s already been to the Nationals (last year as Georgia defensive coordinator) and all that. I feel good with him. He just returned from picking four defensemen in the first round. I like coach Tosh (Lupoy), he was in the NFL. They have good experience and they know what they are doing.”

Bowens is listed by Top247 as the No. 222 prospect in the nation. He joins a class that includes fellow four-star A’mauri Washington defenders. Terrence Green as well as Blake Purchase. Other key players in the fold at the time of the attack are: My Cale Gardner, Tevita Pome, Teitum Tuyoti as well as Jaden Moore because Lanning and Ducks will lose a few players who make the difference and look to many of these guys to play like true freshmen.

“We have the d-line, we have linebackers coming in,” Bowens said. “I just feel like we’re going to be very big. I feel like when we get there we can shake something up and go after Natty.”
