Four weeks after she pulled off a dominant top 10 win, former flyweight champion and former women’s flyweight title contender Jessica Andrade returned this weekend, taking on rising prospect Erin Blanchfield in a short booking at UFC Fight Night Saturday in Las Vegas.
Fights at the UFC Apex are being streamed on Sportzshala+, with the main card at 7:00 pm ET followed by prelims at 4:00 pm.
Andrade (24-9), who briefly reigned at 115 pounds in 2019 and challenged Valentina Shevchenko for the 125-pound title in 2021, has won three fights in a row, the last of which was a brutal victory over Lauren Murphy on January 21. Andrade, who came out this week after Tayla Santos pulled out of the flyweight bout, is second in Sportzshala’s division rankings.
Blanchfield (10-1) has won seven in a row, including all four of her UFC fights. In November, she dominated Molly McCann, winning by submission in the first round.
Also on the card is Jim Miller, the all-time UFC leader in fights (40) and wins (24). The veteran lightweight who has won three titles in a row will take on a late-comer contender, Alexander Hernandez.
