Arman Tsarukyan and Mateusz Gamroth, two rising stars in the lightweight division, will face off in the main event of UFC Fight Night when the show returns to the Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Tsarukyan, ranked 10th in Sportzshala’s lightweight division, has won five in a row after losing his debut fight to Islam Makhachev. Makhachev is ranked fourth in the lightweight division by Sportzshala. Tsarukyan’s last two victories resulted in Performance of the Night bonuses thanks to technical knockouts against Christos Giagos and Joel Alvarez, respectively.
Gamroth is unranked but has a three-fight winning streak after also losing in his debut. His matchup against Guram Kutateladze ended in a split decision loss for the former KSW two-division champion as Gamrot will prepare for his most formidable UFC challenge against Tsarukyan.
