Three years ago, Thiago Santos fought for the UFC light heavyweight title, giving Jon Jones everything he could in a fight that the champion won by split decision. At the time, Jamahal Hill had only five fights in his professional career and had yet to reach the UFC.

For Santos (22-10), the loss to Jones started a skid that saw the 38-year-old Brazilian lose four of his last five fights. However, Santos is #9 on Sportzshala’s light heavyweight rankings.

Hill (10-1, 1 NC) is yet to be ranked by Sportzshala but is on his way. The 31-year-old from Grand Rapids, Michigan, has lost just one of his six fights since joining the promotion in 2020.

Saturday’s fight card also includes the two finals of The Ultimate Fighter’s 30th season: Zach Pauga vs. Mohammed Usman at heavyweight and Brogan Walker-Sanchez vs. Juliana Miller at women’s flyweight.
