He will be looking to rebuild when he faces Christos Giagos (19-9 MMA, 5-5 UFC) on Saturday’s main card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Moises took the current title contender Makhachev to the 4th round and got a lot of positive emotions from this fight.

“I learned a lot from those fights, especially with Islam,” Moises told MMA Junkie and other reporters at UFC on Wednesday ESPN Media Day 38. “I think I gave him a tough fight, especially if you see his last fights against Bobby Green and Dan Hooker, which he finished with ease. So I think I have a lot of potential. (I) just getting better (and) keep getting better. I’m also very young, so I think that’s the way it should be.

“In my last fight (against Alvarez) I did something wrong not to follow the game plan to look for a takedown and work on the fight because the guy was so tall he was hard to hit (up). That’s what I learned in those fights. So I think that made me a better fighter.”
