For the first time in almost four years, Joaquim Silva has landed in the UFC win column.
Silva fought Jesse Ronson in a lightweight pre-fight at UFC Vegas 61 on Saturday at UFC APEX and ended the fight in the second round with a beautiful center knee jump that left Ronson heavily injured.
“Neto BJJ” lashed out relentlessly at Ronson, and after a series of unanswered throws, umpire Keith Peterson had seen enough.

After a rocky start to the fight, Silva nearly finished at the end of the first with a—randomly enough—jumping knee, but Ronson was saved by a horn.
With his first win since finishing Jared Gordon in December 2018, Silva is recovering from back-to-back losses to Ricky Glenn and Nasrat Haqparast.
Ronson has completed two fights in a row, including a second-round loss to Rafa Garcia at UFC Vegas 51 in April.
