The main event of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 70 Apex in Las Vegas between Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann was canceled just moments before the show’s main card began.

Krylov arrived at Apex early to seek medical attention from UFC doctors in a last ditch effort to continue the fight. But shortly after 16:00 local time, when the main card was ready to open, Krylov was forced to withdraw from the fight. UFC reporter Megan Olivi said she spoke to the UFC medical team, who told her that Krylov was suffering from food poisoning.

Krylov, who originally fought at heavyweight, bounced back Friday at 206 pounds. Spann weighed 205 pounds.

However, on Saturday, Krylov did not feel well. He arrived at Apex early to seek treatment, but it was decided that he could not continue with the treatment. Sportzshala Sports asked UFC President Dana White if there was a chance to add Krylov-Spann to the UFC 285 card, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. White said he didn’t believe they could lose weight again in a week.

As a result, it was a four-fight card with middleweights Andre Muniz and Brendan Allen in the main event. I hope Krylov vs. Spann will be rescheduled soon.
