There is still no word on whether golfers will see Tiger and Charlie Woods at the PNC Championship this year, but two more big names were added to the course on Monday.
World No. 1 Nelly Korda and reigning PGA Champion Justin Thomas will be among the participants on December 17-18 at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Golf Club.
Korda, who took the Women’s Pelican Championship back to world number one, will once again face her father Petr Korda. Petr was one of the top tennis players in the world in the 1990s, winning the 1998 Australian Open and finishing second in the world, the highest ranking of his career.
“We really enjoyed our last year’s experience and we are happy to be invited again this year,” said Nelli Korda. “It was such a fun week for the whole family! It was really special for me and my dad to compete in the ropes together. We definitely want to improve on our 12th place last year and I can’t wait to share this amazing experience with him again.”
Thomas will once again play alongside his father, Mike Thomas. The pair won the 2020 championship in their debut performance and finished in T-3 a year ago.
The event will be broadcast on NBC, Golf Channel and Peacock.
