On Tuesday, the team announced that Valvoline and Hendrick Motorsports have extended their partnership through 2027.
Valvoline will continue to act as a sponsor Kyle Larson (three races) and William Byron (two races), as well as maintaining the status of official lubricant partner of Hendrick Motorsports and the main associated sponsor of the team’s cars. Valvoline will also remain a sponsor of the annual Randy Dorton Hendrick Engine Builder Showdown, which features Hendrick Motorsports engine builders and Hendrick Automotive Group technicians.
“We are extremely proud of our partnership with Valvoline,” said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports and Chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group, in a team statement. “Thanks to Valvoline’s commitment to quality and innovation, we have made great strides both on the track and in our dealerships. The expansion of the relationship will allow us to continue to use the very best products in our race cars and those of our customers across the country.”
Valvoline expanded its partnership with Hendrick Motorsports last year to include primary sponsorship of Larson and Byron cars. The five annual primary sponsors represent an increase of three over the previous three seasons. In 2022, the company also added a sixth main race and will be featured in Byron’s car in Cup Race Sunday at Nashville Speedway (5:00 pm ET on NBC).
“The Valvoline team is delighted to continue working with Hendrick Motorsports and Hendrick Automotive Group,” said Heidi Matthijs, senior vice president and director of marketing and transformation for Valvoline Inc., in a statement. “Our decade-long relationship has led to success both on and off the track. We look forward to more victories with Hendrik’s amazing organization in the future.”
