Deron Wynn may not have raised his hand after a tough fight with Phil Hawes last Saturday, but he certainly wins fans over with his reaction to defeat.
Wynn and Hawes met in a middleweight pre-limit bout at the UFC Austin. Wynn was beaten from the first seconds of the fight, and Hawes landed a series of hard punches and elbows throughout the almost two-round fight. Referee Herb Dean finally intervened at the 4:25 mark to stop Hawes from inflicting more damage.
Wynn took to Instagram on Monday to give an honest and sometimes hilarious account of the fight, where he also revealed that Hawes broke Wynn’s orbital bone in the opening seconds.
“He elbowed me for the four millionth time and I look at Herb. [Dean] for example: “Why did your ass take so long[tostopit?”—Wynnsaidattheendofthevideo[tostopit?’”Winnsaidatthecloseofthevideo[прекращалаэто?»—сказалУиннвконцевидео[tostopit?’”Winnsaidatthecloseofthevideo
With the win, Hawes bounced back from his only promotional loss to Chris Curtis at UFC 268 last November.
