Vikings sign rookie guard Akeyleb Evans to his four-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.
The Vikings made Evans a fourth-round pick, the 118th overall pick from Missouri.
Evans was a starter at Tulsa for four years before moving to Missouri for the 2021 season. He started eight of 11 games in his only year at Columbia, intercepting one pass, crashing six others, and making 29 tackles and two forced fumbles before giving up the team’s bowl to prepare for the draft.
Vikings have Patrick Peterson as well as Cameron Danzler as starters in position with Evans competing with Harrison HandAndrew Booth Chris Boyd, Shandon Sullivan as well as Nate Hairston for game time.
