Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson worked in London on Sunday.
In a 28-25 win over the New Orleans Saints at Tottenham Hotspur, Jefferson caught 10 passes for 147 yards. He also ran for a touchdown. It was the first time since 2016 that a player had a 120-yard reception and a rushing count, and Jefferson marked the 16th 100-yard receiving game of Jefferson’s career. According to Sportzshala statistics and information, only Randy Moss and Odell Beckham Jr. have had more 100-yard games (19) in their first three seasons.
For most of the game, Jefferson played against Saints Pro Bowl quarterback Marshawn Lattimore. Let’s just say Jefferson won the match. One of Jefferson’s biggest catches was a 39-yard field goal that resulted in Minnesota kicker Greg Joseph hitting the game-winning 47-yard field goal.
“Lattimore pretty much followed me throughout the game, most of the game it was a one-on-one battle,” Jefferson said after the game. “I told [Minnesota coach Kevin O’Connell] the whole game, we have to drop it, give me a chance to get up and play big.”
On Monday night, Jefferson repeated Allen Iverson’s famous move over Tyrone Liu in the NBA Finals for another shot at Lattimore.
