Kapalua can be a generous giver of birds and eagles, especially when the wind dies down. But that doesn’t mean he’s completely defenseless.
Ask Cameron Young. He’ll tell you about his 15th hole on Saturday at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Young found the green with two hits on a 527-yard par-5, leaving himself about 56 feet for the Eagle. However, his shot was fast and low, and Young’s ball went wide of the hole and eventually slid out of the hitting surface.
He ended up 150 feet and 11 inches from the hole.
Even worse, Young’s fourth throw, the pitch, met the same fate. Finally, Young hit from fifth to 6 feet and landed his fearsome punch.
