With a 56-7 crushing victory over East Tennessee State on the books, the next target for Mike Leach and his Mississippi State Bulldogs will be their Thanksgiving Egg Bowl regular season finale against Ole Miss. But first comes the Thanksgiving dinner itself. — something about which Lich, true to form, has an opinion.

Speaking after his team’s victory on Saturday, Leach shared the latest food feedback, giving his take on Thanksgiving food, focusing on his sauce making skills and what it pairs with.

“I always make gravy and I make great gravy. I’m not a very good cook, but I’ve been making gravy for decades,” Leach said. “I always take white meat, some toppings – not too much – lots of mashed potatoes, sauce on top of everything. I hope they have greens – usually they don’t. Corn or green beans. cream pies are better than all those pumpkin-apple things.”

Leach’s views on Thanksgiving food are true, as the Bulldogs’ head coach has been known to share his opinions on food in the past. Leach spoke at length last year about his preference for Halloween candy and his disdain for sweet cornand then shared his aversion to pineapple on pizza.

Once Leach’s Thanksgiving celebration is complete, his next goal will be to end the 2022 regular season on a high note in the Egg Bowl against Ole Miss. The Bulldogs’ victory over East Tennessee State improved them to 7–4 on the season.
