Drinks are sure to be on Victor Hovland’s Friday night in Orlando, Florida, and it’s becoming something of an annual tradition for the 25-year-old.
During second round play at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Hovland hit the number 7 par 3 tee and hit one of the most beautiful aces you’ve ever seen, making the fourth hole of his career.
Ideal speed. Perfect rebound. The perfect line. Just perfection in everything, really. Hovland made the 183 yard look like a simple chipshot.
Any player who hit a hole this weekend got -125 on BetMGM after the “no hole” opened at -135. API has seen nine aces in the last 10 tournaments, including three in 2021, so the reasonable money was definitely tied to the magic in Orlando.
Now Hovland is under pressure to keep his year-long aces streak on the PGA Tour. He had aces in both the 2022 BMW Championship and the 2022 Players Championship. But he may worry about it after paying the bill at a bar in Bay Hill on Friday.
