Deshaun Watson settled 20 of 24 civil lawsuits which he faces for sexual harassment and assault, according to lawyer Tony Buzbee, who represented the women who accused the player of inappropriate behavior during massage sessions.

“All the cases against Deshaun Watson, with the exception of four, have reached an agreement,” says the statement issued by the lawyer. “We are working through the paperwork and once that is done, those particular cases will be dismissed. The terms and amounts of the settlements are confidential and we will not comment further on them.”

Buzbee mentioned that the first woman who sued Watson, Ashley Solis, and three other women did not agree and are continuing their civil lawsuit against the player, which he did not play in 2021 with the Texans having requested the change before the Draft, but on March 16 of last year the first lawsuit was released. One last demand, which would have been the 25th, was withdrawn at the time by another woman.

With the agreements, Watson prevents more information about the cases from coming out, such as the NY Times report that indicated that 66 masseuses were hired by the player in 16 months. The NFL is investigating the allegations against Watson and the 26-year-old could face a lengthy suspension if the league finds he violated its personal conduct policy. Two grand juries in Texas have refused to indict Watson on criminal complaints filed by 10 of his accusers.
