Adam Engel last injured White Sox, leaves the game early originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
White socks they seem to take one step forward to make their team healthier and then two steps back. One inning after Danny Mendik clashes with Adam Hazeley and needed help off the field, Adam Engel withdrew from the game.
The team says Engel had to leave due to a right hamstring strain and is being evaluated now. It is not clear when Engel injured himself. In his last at-bat on Wednesday, he struck out so he didn’t run basepaths.
To replace him, Haisley moved from left field to right field, while AJ Pollock, who had previously been given the day off, moved into Heisley’s seat.
As for Mendik, he left with discomfort in his right knee and also underwent additional examinations.
