Wisconsin Lands PWO Commitment From Three-Star DE Will McDonald

Paul Crist and his coaching staff navigated a recruiting crisis Wednesday when they received a verbal commitment from 2023 three-star quarterback Will McDonald of Hudson, Wisconsin to join the program as a preferred assistant.

According to 247 sports, McDonald is the No. 111 DL in the nation and the No. 2 player in Wisconsin.

The 6ft 4in, 235lb DL entered UW despite scholarship offers from Akron, the Army, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kent, Lehigh, Long Island, North Dakota, North Illinois, and South Dakota.

The Hudson High School standout will join his older brother Cade McDonald, who currently plays defensive end for the Badgers, fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing together.
