Mansfield, Texas — Last month four star wing Dennis Parker announced that it was on its final list of five schools. Georgetown, Missouri, State of North Carolina, Oklahomaas well as USC all opted for the 6’6 all-round quarterback from the Richmond, Virginia, John Marshall School.
“These schools see me as a good player who can fit into their offensive sets,” Parker said. “The coaching staff also consists of good coaches, good people around.”
Of his last five, Parker made only official visits to Georgetown, the states of North Carolina and Oklahoma. He shared his thoughts on the three programs he attended with 247Sports:
Georgetown: “My visit went very well. Kevin Nickelberry recruits me since he was at LSU. Now that he’s representing the Hoya family, he’s trying even harder to get me there. I quarrel with all the staff. Pat Baldwin as well as Patrick Ewing good people”.
State of North Carolina: “My visit went very well. Kevin Kitts been on me since I was a freshman, so I pay my respects to them. I’m in touch with their entire coaching staff.”
Oklahoma: “I really like Mike Boynton as well as Larry Blunt. They were kind to me and showed attention to me from the first year of training. They have a very good team, a good campus and a good plan for me.”
Parker says he plans to make a decision around November. He says he doesn’t want to rush his decision to make sure he’s 100 percent firm in his commitment.
“I just have to see what’s best for me,” Parker said. “I look at what works for me and what I can do to become the best version of myself.”
Parker is ranked 92nd in 247Sports’ top 150 players.
