Qatar is on paper a mixture of naturalized foreigners and lowly veterans who make up the worst of the 32 teams in their own tournament. But at the 2019 Asian Cup and as guests at the 2021 Gold Cup, they hit above their weight. So they will be ashamed? Or the Qatari government’s years of investment in football, mostly to keep them not be embarrassed – pay off?

Qatar vs Ecuador betting preview

Sunday 11:00 AM ET Fox Sports 1

  • Qatar (+220)

  • Ecuador (+140)

  • Tie (+210)

Qatar’s big moment is here. We wouldn’t be surprised if Qatar succumbed to the adrenaline and won the first game of this World Cup. But we’re looking at more/less. The amount is very low for a good reason. And we love it when it drops at +140. Ecuador’s last three games ended 0-0 and you need to go back seven games to find a match against Ecuador that scored more than one goal.
