Yaz, Pederson, Wynns power Giants past Braves 12-10

ATLANTA – Mike Yastrzemsky broke out of the slump by hitting a double with two runs in the sixth inning, Jock Pedersen both the Austin Wynns Homered and the San Francisco Giants beat the Atlanta Braves 12-10 on Tuesday night.

Yastrzemski was 1 of the last 19 when he pitched from Colleen McHugh to the right, which permanently increased the Giants’ score to 8-7. Pederson made a 15th homer on McHugh’s seventh and Vinns went deep in the second. Spencer Strider when there was a two-game skid in San Francisco.

DIRTY SHOWS

Poor play on the pitch hurt the Giants in the seventh. Winns’ pass ball allowed Akuna, who was running in the game, to advance from first to third. Akuna then hit with two strikeouts to cut the lead to 9–8 when Estrada, in second place for a potential force out, pumped a third baseman. Evan Longoriaa soft throw on the grounder Olson. Estrada redeemed himself with an RBI single in ninth place, making him 10-8.

LHP Giants Carlos Rodon (6-4, 2.84 ERA) to take mound against Braves RHP Charlie Morton (4-3, 5.08) as the teams play the third game in a four-game series. Rodon meets Atlanta for the first time. Morton is 4-5 with a 2.55 ERA in 14 career starts against San Francisco.
